Glock offers two different magazines with the Glock 43 one is a flush mount magazine and the other has a pinky extension however the magazine with the pinky extension doesn’t offer any more magazine capacity. The Glock 43 has the typical polymer magazine which holds 6 rounds of #9mm. Or you’re like me and like a less permanent solution you can always add some Talon Grips MagazinesĪlthough the Glock 43 and the Springfield XDS are nearly identical in size there is a little bit of a difference when it comes to the magazines. Number 1 is that you can easily sand and stipple the grip for added texture. However, there are a few options to remedy this problem. This can be very cumbersome when your hands are wet or oily. The grip of the Glock 43 is lacking in the texture department. But Andrew notes that it would be a lot of work to sand the grip down if you wanted to custom stipple the grip. The Springfield XDS has a more textured grip than the Glock 43 along with an interchangeable back strap. Most concealed carriers upgrade to the Trijicon HD night sights. However, very few people ever keep the stock Glock sights. The Glock 43 comes with the standard plastic Glock sights whereas the Springfield XDS comes with a red or green fiber optic front sight and a white two dot rear sight.
